Virtuous is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale our CRM+ platform that powers fundraising and donor engagement for nonprofits. You'll work primarily in C# and Vue within Azure and SQL Server, collaborating with product, design, and other engineers to ship features that connect nonprofits with donors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong C#/.NET expertise.
• 3+ years of Vue experience; React or Angular acceptable
• Proven experience building/operating production systems on Azure
• Solid SQL Server experience: schema design, queries, performance
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted development (Claude Code preferred)
• Customer-first, product-minded engineering approach
• Experience with CRM or data-intensive platforms is a plus
• Observability and testing tools experience is a plus
• Excellent cross-functional communication and ownership of projects

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across the CRM+ platform using C#, .NET, and SQL Server
• Architect and operate services on Azure focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape Requirements with a customer-first perspective
• Use AI tools (Claude Code) for prototyping, code generation, testing, debugging, and documentation
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Mentor and pair program with other engineers to raise engineering standards
• Influence best practices for QA, CI/CD, and product architecture
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with urgency and ownership
• Contribute to technical strategy and evolving architecture as the platform scales
