Job summary

Haus seeks a senior full-stack engineer to build Architect end to end, from Python services generating recommendations to React interfaces where customers review them.

You'll work with product, science, and design to shape features, and with other teams to integrate Architect across the Haus platform. This is a full-stack role with a backend emphasis, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications and APIs.
• Strong backend engineer in Python; most work is service and integration.
• Working React proficiency: build the frontend for your own features.
• Able to turn half-formed requests from PM/scientist into a scoped plan.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Comfort with cloud-native environments (GCP preferred).
• Track record of working with AI development tools and validating outputs.
• Excellent communication; collaborate with scientists, PMs, and engineers.
• Willing to come into the office 3-5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship backend services in Python turning model outputs into recommendations.
• Build React screens for customers to review, edit, and approve recommendations.
• Define API contracts and integrate Architect with the Haus platform; handle failures gracefully.
• Collaborate with product, science, and design on what to build.
• Improve codebase with tests, monitoring, and refactors to keep it shippable.
• Leverage AI coding tools and explain verified outputs.
