Job summary

Scaffold is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer in Austin to help build the next generation of tools for residential construction. You will work closely with the co-founders to shape the product, define technical direction, and create scalable solutions that serve our growing customer base.

You’ll drive backend development with Python, apply AI/ML techniques, and contribute to the frontend using JavaScript and modern frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development with a strong emphasis on back-end systems.
• Expertise in Python is required.
• Experience applying or developing AI/ML solutions with Python is highly relevant.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with co-founders and stakeholders to architect and implement features across the stack.
• Develop and maintain back-end systems with a strong focus on Python.
• Apply AI advances to residential construction workflows.
• Contribute to front-end development with JavaScript as a major plus.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of Scaffold’s platform.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
