Job summary

OpenArt, an AI storytelling and visual creation platform, seeks a Senior Product Engineer (Full-Stack) to own complex, user-facing systems end-to-end. You’ll balance frontend UX, backend APIs, and data modeling while collaborating with founders to evolve AI-powered workflows.

You’ll design scalable architectures, APIs, and data schemas, shipping features from concept through production, mentoring peers along the way.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design and implement end-to-end features independently.
• Strong system design skills for APIs, services, data flow, and failure modes.
• Experience designing data schemas and data models for real product use cases.
• Hands-on backend experience with Node.js and/or Python and async workflows.
• Frontend proficiency with React/Next.js and attention to UX polish.
• Ability to operate with ambiguity and define problems before solving them.

Responsibilities

• Own complex product features end-to-end from concept to production launch.
• Design scalable backend architectures including APIs, async pipelines, and AI workflows.
• Lead system design considering performance, reliability, and extensibility.
• Design clean, scalable data models across SQL and NoSQL stores.
• Build high-quality frontend experiences with React/Next.js and strong UX.
• Make trade-offs between speed, correctness, and scalability with clear rationale.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and GTM to turn user needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and elevate engineering practices.
