Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to evolve the NBA platform's Action Library and Command Center. You will design modern UIs in React/TypeScript, build APIs with Node.js/Fastify, and model PostgreSQL data while integrating with Kafka-based workflows.

You will collaborate with product and platform teams to deliver scalable, production-grade software and ensure reliable stateful behavior across the system.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full stack software engineering with React and TypeScript expertise.
• Production-grade web applications with modern React architecture and component-based design.
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript backend experience building REST APIs and services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and data modeling.
• Understanding of modern front-end architecture, state management, routing, accessibility, and performance.
• Experience with API contracts, schema validation, and strongly-typed development.
• Familiarity with containerized deployment, CI/CD, and cloud-native development.
• Strong testing discipline: unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Clear communication and collaboration across engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Front-end design and build of responsive, accessible UI using React and TypeScript.
• Full stack delivery including React apps, Node.js/Fastify services, and PostgreSQL models.
• Develop Action Library features to configure, version, govern, and publish actions.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs with contract-first principles and typed models.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas and optimize queries for performance.
• Build integrations with orchestration, decisioning, and Kafka-based publishing.
• Translate business workflows into intuitive experiences and ensure usability.
• Build automated tests, participate in code reviews, and deliver secure, production-grade software.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and platform teams to align requirements.
