Job summary

The role demands 5+ years of production backend experience, TypeScript fluency, and on-call responsibility, with a distributed systems mindset and a track record of shipping production infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production backend experience, including on-call.
• Fluent in TypeScript; backend-focused full-stack capabilities.
• Experience shipping real-time systems to production.
• Strong distributed systems intuition.
• Experience shipping infrastructure to real users.
• Willing to relocate to SF Bay Area or be there.
• US work authorization required.

A well-funded seed-stage AI startup ($30M raised) building a hybrid AI and software platform that acts as a shared brain for user context. The team is 15 people and growing. This hire will work directly with the CTO to build and scale the core backend infrastructure, agent runtimes, and real-time systems as they onboard their first paying users.
