Job summary

The City of Charlotte Innovation & Technology (I&T) Department – Enterprise Applications Division seeks an experienced Senior Software Developer. This role focuses on front-end web applications, back-end APIs, and mobile apps, and involves enhancing existing apps and building new services for staff and residents.

You will collaborate with a team to design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale solutions, delivering high-quality code while following best practices and development standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required with relevant professional experience.
• 7+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience with full-stack development in enterprise environments expected.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end web applications, back-end APIs, and mobile components.
• Collaborate with customers to define scope and document in SOW.
• Gather requirements and document processes clearly.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot applications.
• Contribute to QA with test plans, testing, and ad-hoc testing.
• Follow CM and change management procedures.
• Provide technical leadership on complex projects.
