Job summary

The City of Charlotte Innovation & Technology Department is seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to enhance front-end web applications, back-end APIs, and mobile apps. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and maintain enterprise applications serving staff and residents.

The role emphasizes full-stack development with C#/.NET, modern front-end frameworks, and CI/CD in a collaborative agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development with C# and .NET technologies.
• Experience building enterprise-level applications with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases such as SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end components using C#, .NET, and modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with customers to define scope and document requirements in SOWs.
• Develop, test, and troubleshoot applications across web, API, and mobile platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex projects and CI/CD practices.
• Design and implement scalable software architectures including microservices and DI patterns.
• Ensure security and authentication via OAuth/JWT and manage server/container deployments.
