Job summary

Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) seeks a Senior Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain complex web-based applications using .NET, VB, C#, HTML/CSS/JavaScript. You will lead project teams, guide junior staff, and ensure robust deployment through CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

You will collaborate with the DHS and DoIT teams to deliver enterprise solutions, perform systems analysis, and document comprehensive designs while staying current with industry

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional experience designing, developing and maintaining web-based applications using .NET technologies, Visual Basic, C#, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Three (3) years of professional experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Requires four (4) years of college with coursework in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Senior Application Developer for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Department of Human Services (DHS) in Bureau of Application Management.
• Leads projects providing technical guidance to staff and ensuring quality, timelines and outcomes.
• Writes, debugs, tests, and documents new applications or updates existing programs using Change Management Software.
• Keeps abreast of new IT developments and communicates with stakeholders to plan system enhancements.
