Job summary

BIP US is seeking a Senior Full Stack Data Engineer in the United States. You will lead the design and delivery of complex data products for Portfolio Management, Trading, and Risk Analytics, combining data engineering, backend services, APIs, and React-based UI work.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, architectural decisions, and mentoring, with a focus on scalable data pipelines, data models, and end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced investment data environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Technical Lead/Lead Engineer or Senior Engineer with team ownership.
• Strong Python programming for production-grade data pipelines, services, and apps.
• Expert-level SQL with design, query, and optimization of relational/analytic structures.
• Experience building complex data pipelines: ingestion, transformation, validation, delivery.
• Experience designing and developing REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud-based data environments; Azure, Snowflake, and AKS experience required.
• Understanding of the full data lifecycle from ingestion to AI consumption.
• Proven ability to guide architecture across data, backend, API, and frontend layers.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead end-to-end delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of front-office data products including ingestion, transformation, API contracts, and React UIs.
• Build scalable data pipelines for high-volume and real-time investment data where needed.
• Design scalable data models spanning positions, transactions, pricing, market data, and risk data.
• Define data domain connections to create trusted data products for PMs, Traders, and Risk professionals.
• Develop REST/GraphQL APIs and data-access patterns for analytics workflows and AI solutions.
• Lead and mentor engineers; enforce standards for code quality, testing, observability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, and Data teams to translate workflows into scalable solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions across data, backend, API, and frontend layers; review designs and code.
• Lead engineering workstreams, coordinate across multiple engineers, ensure high delivery quality.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
