Job summary

BIP US is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Data Engineer to design, build, and enhance data products for front-office investment workflows. You’ll work across ingestion, transformation, databases, APIs, and React-based UIs in a globally distributed team.

The ideal candidate has 6–8+ years of software engineering experience with Python, SQL, and API development, plus Azure and Snowflake experience. Remote/hybrid work options are supported.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of professional software engineering experience across data/backend and front-end development.
• Proficient in Python for production-quality data pipelines, services, or applications.
• Advanced SQL skills for designing, querying, and optimizing relational/analytic databases.
• Experience building data pipelines involving ingestion, transformation, validation, and delivery of large datasets.
• Experience developing/consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with cloud-based data environments and modern data warehouses; Azure and Snowflake preferred.
• Strong understanding of the full data lifecycle and data-quality practices.
• Experience in asset management/investment data environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Codex, Claude, Cursor, Copilot).
• Delivery ownership in a fast-paced, globally distributed team.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines for front-office and investment data.
• Develop database structures and data models for curated datasets.
• Work with positions, transactions, pricing, market data, and risk/analytics data.
• Develop REST/GraphQL APIs for data access and analytics workflows.
• Create React-based interfaces for Portfolio Managers, Traders, and risk professionals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Improve data quality, lineage, reliability, and query performance.
• Troubleshoot data issues end-to-end across systems and applications.
• Apply modern software engineering practices including testing and code reviews.
• Explore AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development and data analysis.
• Participate in production support and owner-ship of data and application issues.
