Job summary

The Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT) in Colorado seeks a Senior Software Developer (Full Stack/Cloud) to design, develop, and support scalable full‑stack applications and serverless cloud solutions for Colorado residents. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and establish development standards across frontend, backend, and cloud components.

Role requires deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React and/or Angular, Node.js/NestJS, REST APIs, SQL Server, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of software development experience with JavaScript, React/Angular, Node.js.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Preferred: AWS cloud services and serverless architecture; AWS Lambda and API Gateway.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable full-stack applications.
• Develop backend services using Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, Fastify, TypeORM, and REST APIs.
• Develop frontend applications using React and/or Angular with TypeScript.
• Design API contracts and maintain Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability issues.
