Job summary

The Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to drive the architectural direction of the myColorado Platform. You will connect statewide digital goals with secure, scalable solutions and collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, Engineering, QA, Security, and agency partners.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in data or solution architecture at enterprise level.
• Ability to lead end‑to‑end architecture across mobile apps, backend services, AWS, data flows, and external integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead current and target state architecture with diagrams and decisions.
• Own the technical roadmap and prioritize debt, security remediation, and platform improvements.
• Define solution designs, interfaces, nonfunctional requirements, data boundaries, and privacy considerations.
• Provide architecture approvals for mobile and backend releases per change-management procedures.
• Coordinate release readiness and approvals with Engineering, QA, Product, and Operations.
• Oversee platform health including dependency management and code version control strategies.
• Translate security and privacy requirements into platform designs and acceptance criteria.
• Lead major incident responses with cross‑team coordination and remediation actions.
