Job summary

gaiia is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Software Developer—AI Customer Support. Join a small, high-impact team building a turnkey AI agent product for telco CSPs, in a fully remote environment.

You’ll work in a TypeScript-centric stack (frontend, backend, infra) and shape agent behavior, safety, and performance across channels including voice, chat, and email. You will tackle AI agent runtime, configuration UX, observability tooling, and continuous improvement loops, while collaborating across teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in TypeScript.
• Experience with React and Node.js.
• Experience with DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with voice AI or telephony integrations.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Strong AI product design and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build the core AI agent runtime powering conversations across voice, chat, and email in multiple languages.
• Design and implement the agent configuration experience for CSPs.
• Build quality and observability tooling—dashboards, analytics, and evaluation systems.
• Develop continuous improvement loops to analyze real interactions and suggest improvements.
• Integrate with omnichannel infrastructure (voice, live chat, email, SMS).
• Design guardrails and safety layers to keep agents within approved boundaries.
• Contribute to evaluation and testing frameworks, including automated simulations and A/B testing.
• Hands-on work with AI agent design and coding agents (Claude Code, Codex).
• Explore AI tools and patterns, contributing to open-source tooling.
