Job summary

HUDSON CITY CONSULTING LIMITED LIAB seeks a highly experienced FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER in New Jersey. Direct hire reporting to the COO. Salary $75k-$80k with full benefits. Role covers financial records, inventory-driven operations, vendor and sales accounting, and payroll input into ADP.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, month-end close, tax compliance, and preparing periodic financial reports. Strong attention to detail and retail/e-commerce experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Retail or fashion industry experience preferred
• Inventory accounting and COGS knowledge
• Proficient with QuickBooks, Sage 50 and Quantum
• Experience with POS systems/E-commerce (Shopify, Square)
• Sales tax compliance knowledge
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (sales, returns, expenses)
• Maintain general ledger and prepare monthly financial statements
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payment processors
• Assist with month-end and year-end closings
• Process vendor invoices, purchase orders and payments
• Track customer invoices, wholesale accounts and collections
• Manage inventory purchases, COGS and adjustments
• Reconcile inventory records with physical counts
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost-control initiatives
