Job summary

CSA Group is seeking a Fuel Systems Technical Specialist in Irvine, CA to drive market development, service expansion, and technical leadership for large-scale fuel-fired systems. The role collaborates with clients, manufacturers, and CSA teams to identify opportunities and deliver complex field evaluations.

The candidate will manage quotations, coordinate field projects, and stay current with hydrogen and alternative fuels.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in mechanical/chemical engineering or energy systems.
6+ years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with fuel-fired equipment and combustion systems.
Knowledge of safety codes (CSA, ANSI, ASME, NFPA).
Experience in TIC industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to expand fuel systems field services in major capital projects.
Develop, validate, and expand technical service offerings for fuel-fired equipment.
Provide technical guidance on equipment design, installation, and safety requirements.
Research regulatory requirements and emerging fuels/technologies.
Prepare technical scopes, estimates of resources and labor hours for quotations.
Coordinate with operations to ensure quality and safety in field evaluations.
Forecast future resource and competency needs.
Represent CSA Group at industry events and trade shows.
Travel about 10% for client meetings and site visits.
