Job summary

AES US Renewables & Power is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead projects deploying fuel cell energy systems and gas-fueled distributed generation solutions from site validation through acceptance and turnover.

The successful candidate will work across a matrixed organization and with external partners to deliver safe, reliable, cost-effective gas projects while maintaining clear accountability for the requirements implied by the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in distributed generation, fuel cell, gas power, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of schedules, budgets, risk, quality, safety, and documentation.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and resolve complex issues.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of fuel-cell and distributed generation modules.
• Develop and maintain the project execution plan, governance, schedule, budget, and risk registers.
• Define scopes of work, bid development, clarifications, negotiations, and contract readiness.
• Act as Owner's representative with EPCs, OEMs, engineering firms, utilities, and customers.
• Coordinate Development, Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, Construction, and Operations teams.
• Oversee design reviews, constructability, value engineering, and safety compliance.
• Manage contractor schedules, budgets, quality plans, and permit compliance.
• Track long-lead equipment, fabrication, and site readiness.
• Lead project status reviews and communicate progress, risks, and actions.
• Coordinate interfaces with utilities, regulators, and partners; ensure turnover to Operations.
