Job summary
SK hynix memory solutions America Inc. is seeking a seasoned firmware engineer to design and debug FTL for SSD products. You will develop real-time embedded firmware, perform code reviews, and drive system integration, profiling and validation.
This role requires deep expertise in C/C++, assembly, and scripting, with experience in storage protocols. The candidate will collaborate across teams to analyze failures and implement corrective actions, leveraging multi-ARM cores and advanced debugging
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on FTL development experience in SSD.
- 5+ years of development experience in embedded controller environments.
- Proficient in firmware and software programming (C/C++, assembly, script languages).
- Experience with storage protocols PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SCSI.
- Experience with firmware debugging tools such as JTAG and In-Circuit Emulator.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and debug FTL in SSD products.
- Develop real-time embedded system firmware for SSDs.
- Perform firmware code review, analysis and improvement.
- Lead firmware-focused SSD system integration, profiling, validation and debugging.
- Collaborate across teams for failure analysis and corrective actions.
