Job summary

Headway is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Web Platform to lead a small, senior frontend team and own the UI vision across Headway's web apps. You will set strategy for Helix-based design systems, web architecture, and cross-functional collaboration with Design and Engineering Foundations.

Expect hands-on coding with AI tools and a drive to ship high-quality frontend at scale. You will shape the roadmap, mentor engineers, and maintain a fast feedback loop with product and design

Qualifications

You've built your career in frontend and moved into management, with senior or staff frontend experience.
You've led a frontend platform, design system, or web architecture team, ideally at a fast-growing company.
You've managed engineers for 3+ years and can hire, grow senior engineers, and manage performance.

Responsibilities

Lead a senior team of frontend engineers and own the vision for Headway's UI.
Set strategy for design system and web architecture and align with Design and Engineering Foundations.
Collaborate with Design leadership to ensure design-to-production code is efficient.
Open PRs, read and modify code with AI tools, and contribute hands-on when needed.
Drive the frontend roadmap and demonstrate impact with metrics.
