Job summary

OSI Engineering in Menlo Park seeks a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead a web and mobile engineering team building customer-facing experiences and translating business goals into scalable technical execution.

You will partner with Product, Design, and Quality leaders, mentoring about 7 frontend engineers, guiding architecture, performance, and delivery while fostering ownership and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software with 4+ years in engineering leadership.
• Strong people-management skills with a track record of coaching and retaining teams.
• Deep web app development experience including React/Redux.
• Hands-on mobile development experience with React Native and/or native iOS/Android is a plus.
• Strong cloud and system design understanding.
• Proven ability to partner with Product and Design on customer problems, discovery, success metrics, and post-launch learning.
• Excellent product judgment and customer empathy, translating pain points into engineering outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of ~7 frontend engineers with growth plans and performance management.
• Guide development of customer-facing web and mobile experiences balancing product outcomes and team health.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate problems into scalable solutions with observability.
• Own project delivery: roadmap alignment, resource planning, scheduling, releases, and risk management.
• Partner with Design, Product, and Engineering to meet functional and non-functional requirements for performance, reliability, and accessibility.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture, tooling, CI/CD improvements, testing strategy, and developer productivity.
• Promote best practices: reusable design, automated testing, secure development, and AI-enabled tooling adoption.
