Job summary

JPMorganChase in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Consumer & Community Banking front-end team. You will own delivery of complex UI features using React and TypeScript, aligned to a design system and front-end standards.

You will drive automated testing, CI/CD for UI delivery, and secure use of AI-assisted development tools, while ensuring performance, accessibility, and code quality through peer review and robust testing.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Strong hands-on experience building enterprise web apps with React + TypeScript and advanced components.
• Solid UI testing experience (Jest/RTL, Cypress/Playwright) and systematic debugging.
• Proven experience delivering accessible, performant UIs (WCAG, profiling, bundle optimization).
• Experience implementing and improving CI/CD for front-end apps with automated gates.
• Disciplined use of AI coding assistants (Claude AI or equivalent) with verification and secure usage.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of complex UI features using React and TypeScript, aligned to a design system.
• Lead UI technical design, architecture, state management, and API integration patterns.
• Drive quality with automated testing, accessibility compliance, and performance optimization.
• Build and improve CI/CD for UI delivery and reduce flaky tests.
• Utilize enterprise AI tools to accelerate refactoring, testing, and documentation with human validation.
• Create design artifacts and visualizations from large data sets to improve software systems.
