Job summary

JPMorganChase is hiring a Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of modern, scalable UI systems. You will lead a high-performing team, create reusable UI components, and collaborate across UX, product, and DevOps to ensure seamless integration and deployment of UI solutions.

You will mentor junior developers, uphold accessibility and performance standards, and champion AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and velocity.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering is required.
• Eight+ years of hands-on UI development experience with at least three years in technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience architecting and implementing micro-frontend solutions.
• Strong track record building reusable UI component libraries.
• Ability to prototype rapidly and iterate based on user feedback.
• Experience with modern design systems such as Material UI or Ant Design and CSS frameworks.
• Proven experience leading the use of enterprise AI-assisted software development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of modern, responsive UIs using React and TypeScript.
• Architect and implement micro-frontend solutions for modularity and scale.
• Build and maintain a library of reusable UI components across applications.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product owners to translate wireframes into production-ready code.
• Rapidly prototype new features to collect user feedback and iterate.
• Mentor junior UI developers to promote technical excellence and learning.
• Review and debug code ensuring quality, accessibility, and performance best practices.
• Stay current with UI technologies and advocate their adoption within the team.
• Coordinate with backend and DevOps teams for seamless integration and deployment of UI solutions.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and security.
