Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is hiring a UI Lead Software Engineer to guide a high-performing UI team within the Corporate Tech – Radar group in Jersey City. You will drive design and delivery of scalable interfaces for enterprise platforms, focusing on React, TypeScript, and micro-frontend architecture.

You will prototype rapidly, mentor junior developers, and ensure code quality, accessibility, and performance while collaborating with backend and DevOps teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on UI development experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership or lead developer role.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Proven experience architecting and implementing micro-frontend solutions.
• Strong track record building reusable UI component libraries.
• Experience with design systems (Material UI, Ant Design) and modern CSS frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, state management (Redux, Context API), and Git.
• Experience with UI testing (Jest, React Testing Library).
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of modern, responsive UIs using React and TypeScript.
• Architect micro-frontend solutions for modularity and scalability.
• Build and maintain a reusable UI component library for consistency.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and product owners to translate wireframes into production code.
• Prototype features rapidly to gather user feedback before full-scale development.
• Mentor junior UI developers and promote technical excellence.
• Review code for quality, accessibility, and performance.
• Stay current with emerging UI technologies and advocate adoption.
