Reddit Consumer Engineering's centralized role hires across several high-impact consumer teams, including Core Product & Feeds, Community & Presence, Growth & Engagement, Monetization & Conversion, and Identity & Security.

You will partner with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Frontend Engineers to build, experiment, and scale features that power how hundreds of millions of users discover content, join, navigate, and engage.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience in one or more front end focused programming languages (Javascript, Typescript, ES6).
• Experience with front-end web frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular with CSS know-how.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP; ability to design and implement maintainable APIs.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and user needs into reliable, low-latency technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Own the full software lifecycle for major product initiatives from design docs to rollout and observability.
• Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments using analytics to inform decisions.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) for client consumption and UI performance.
• Establish engineering best practices and improve developer workflows.
