Reddit Consumer Engineering is hiring product engineers to design and deliver scalable features that power hundreds of millions of users. You will partner with PMs, designers, data scientists, ML engineers, and frontend engineers across iOS/Android/Web to build, test, and observe impactful product initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience in frontend-focused languages (JavaScript, TypeScript, ES6).
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.) and CSS.
• Ability to design and implement maintainable APIs (GraphQL/REST).
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Product Architecture: translate business needs into reliable, low-latency technical solutions with PM/Design/Data Science and client engineering teams.
• End-to-End Delivery: own the full software lifecycle for major initiatives—from design docs to rollout and observability.
• Metrics & Experimentation-Led Engineering: design and evaluate A/B experiments using BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase to inform decisions.
• API & System Performance: build and maintain scalable APIs (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) and distributed backend services.
• Technical Rigor & Modern Tooling: establish best practices, improve workflows, mentor teammates, and leverage AI-assisted tools.
