Job summary

EarnIn is seeking a Senior Web Engineer to join our Mountain View team. You will partner with Product and Design to define and evolve user experiences, shaping a 0-to-1 product approach with scalable frontend architectures.

You’ll own frontend systems using React, TypeScript, and Next.js, focusing on performance, accessibility, and maintainability while aligning with backend APIs and platform capabilities. This remote role offers flexibility, with a possible hybrid in-office arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong frontend architecture experience, including state management and design systems.
• Experience building production web apps with SSR and client-side rendering.
• Solid SDLC practices including testing, code reviews, observability, and operation.
• 4+ years of frontend or web platform development experience.
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) related to frontend delivery.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and evolve user experiences with modern frontend technologies.
• Own and evolve frontend architecture for scalability, performance, and accessibility.
• Lead design and implementation of complex frontend systems using React, TypeScript, Next.js.
• Establish frontend engineering standards, tooling, testing strategies, and CI/CD.
• Drive cross-team initiatives; align frontend with backend APIs and product strategy.
• Proactively identify technical risks and opportunities; provide direction and trade-offs.
• Mentor frontend engineers to raise the bar on code quality and delivery practices.
• Design and implement robust unit, integration, and UI tests.
• Define and monitor frontend metrics to inform product and technical decisions.
