Verkada is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to build advanced UI components powering AI-driven intrusion detection and video monitoring systems. You will own real-time security interfaces—maps, alerts, timelines—and shape the next generation of the product.

You’ll join a small, fast-moving team with product, design, and full-stack engineers. This onsite role at Verkada HQ in San Mateo, CA offers high ownership and meaningful impact in a privacy-conscious platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade web applications.
• A product mindset—you care deeply about UX and polished tools.
• Solid debugging skills and experience with APIs and asynchronous systems.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with frontend frameworks and real-time UI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build rich, responsive web interfaces (React) for real-time security workflows.
• Architect scalable frontend systems and evolve our UI platform.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Lead technical decisions and mentor other engineers on best practices.
• Dive into the backend when needed to shape APIs and support full-stack work.
