Verkada is recruiting for an early-career software engineer to help build cloud-managed access control systems. You will work with firmware, backend, and frontend teams to create scalable product lines that manage doors, schedules, and user credentials from laptops or phones.

The role emphasizes ownership, autonomy, and delivering integrated experiences that scale with customer needs. Onsite work five days a week is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field.
• 1+ years of industry software engineering experience.
• Strong React and JavaScript knowledge, including closures and prototypes.
• Willing to work onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Think about delivering best-in-class products and experiences—not just features.
• Drive a less-than-fully-fleshed-out product idea to completion.
• Build best-in-class product experiences across the Command web platform (React).
• Lead whole projects from design to implementation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to delight users and customers.
