Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Platform - Identity) to own login, signup, OAuth, account security, and multi-factor authentication for Coinbase customers.

You will lead end-to-end frontend delivery, shape architecture between Native and Webview, mentor engineers, and maintain code quality. This role operates in a remote-first environment with quarterly in-person surges, with a base salary range of $186,065—$218,900 USD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend engineering in production with React and TypeScript.
• Led end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives.
• Authored technical design documents with cross-functional review.
• Resolved systemic technical debt to improve reliability.
• Mentored engineers and led team rituals (on-call, reviews, incident response).
• Experience using AI responsibly to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end frontend projects from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Define and review technical designs for identity-related features.
• Shape Native vs Webview architecture for authentication surfaces.
• Reduce technical debt and improve code quality across the team.
