Job summary

Volley Automation seeks a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to own customer and end-user applications, including kiosk, mobile, and bay displays. You will drive design, implementation, testing, and deployment end-to-end, collaborating with backend, robotics, hardware, and operations teams on architecture and integrations.

You should enjoy building simple, effective interfaces and making product and technical calls in a fast-paced environment, with occasional site visits to validate deployments.

Qualifications

• BS (MS preferred) in CS or a related discipline.
• Strong frontend fundamentals: responsive/adaptive layout, state management, component architecture, debugging, testing, with production UIs backed by REST APIs.
• Experience with Flutter/Dart or React/React Native/Vue/Angular; mobile or hybrid app development on iOS or Android.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Track record of taking projects from prototype to deployed, monitored production software.
• Willingness to work across the stack (backend, testing, simulation) when needed.
• Ability to work in person; occasional visits to customer deployment sites.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement of user-facing applications.
• Translate product requirements into polished interfaces for kiosk, mobile, and web.
• Lead new user-facing systems as the platform grows, including web apps for garage/AGV management, simulations, and EV charging features.
• Write frontend code that is tested, maintainable, and performs well on hardware.
• Work with backend, robotics, hardware, and operations engineers on architecture, APIs, integrations.
• Develop and test against real robots and bay hardware at our test facility and customer sites; troubleshoot issues and participate in deployments.
