Job summary

Automated Tire, Inc. seeks a Senior Robotics Full Stack Software Engineer to lead and build software turning robot capability into a reliable product. You will shape architecture across web, cloud, data, and control systems, while mentoring a growing team and ensuring reliable operation in field environments.

You will craft behavior trees, data pipelines, and dashboards, collaborating with robotics, hardware, perception, and data science teams to drive fleet performance and usability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with full stack scope.
• Experience in a robotics company or robotics analytics environment.
• Go/Python in backend and TypeScript in frontend; React production apps.
• Proven API design, architecture, and hands-on implementation.
• Experience with messaging/streaming systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with robotics middleware (ROS/ROS2) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and contribute to software across the robotics stack from architecture to deployment.
• Develop and maintain behavior trees and decision-making logic for autonomy.
• Build reliable data pipelines connecting sensors with reasoning modules.
• Instrument and visualize operational metrics for fleet health and performance.
• Establish engineering best practices across stack including testing and observability.
• Develop responsive web interfaces for fleet monitoring and mission planning.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with robotics hardware and data science teams.
• Identify technical risks and communicate trade-offs to leadership.
