Job summary

Databricks, the data and AI company, seeks a Sr Software Engineer to drive front-end experiences across large-scale data platforms in Mountain View, CA. You will contribute to UI/UX, performance, and architecture while delivering customer-focused features and dashboards.

You will work with product management to align on multi-quarter roadmaps, and collaborate with backend services to enable end-to-end data solutions for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience leading large multi-quarter efforts with customer/business impact.
• Passion for user experience and design, and front-end architecture understanding.
• Comfortable working towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
• Motivated by delivering customer value.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, VueJs/Ember).
• Familiarity with server-side web technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in front-end architecture (performance, accessibility, security, usability).
• Experience building large-scale products.

Responsibilities

• Create, deploy, test, and upgrade complex data pipelines with powerful features to visualize data graphs.
• Provide seamless onboarding and management for all organization members to become data-driven.
• Offer a great SQL-centric data exploration and dashboarding experience on Databricks.
• Create an interactive environment for collaborative data projects at massive scale with an easy production path.
• Support front-end experiences that align with multi-year product visions.
