Job summary

Base Power Company in Austin, TX seeks a senior or staff frontend engineer to lead the customer experience across web and mobile apps. You will set frontend architecture, define patterns, tooling, and standards that accelerate the entire organization.

You will own major surfaces end-to-end, collaborate with backend engineers on APIs, and work closely with product and design to shape the roadmap while mentoring the team to raise frontend craft.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building production frontend or full-stack software.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern web frameworks (React/Next.js).
• Experience designing frontend architecture for complex web applications.
• Ability to translate complex systems into simple user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend development of the customer experience across Base web and mobile applications.
• Set frontend architecture and technical strategy across multiple product surfaces and define patterns, tooling, and standards.
• Own major product surfaces end-to-end, from concept through production and iteration.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to design APIs and data models that support features.
• Partner with product and design to shape the roadmap and improve developer experience.
