Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in software development with proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Go).
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing people, leading teams, managing managers, and delivering software products to market.
• 5+ years leading teams that build customer-facing, browser-based applications, with strong UI/UX principles and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• 5+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 3+ years leading teams that design, build, and scale internal and external APIs, with knowledge of service-oriented and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers who support software engineering teams delivering end-to-end products for millions of drivers.
• Grow software engineering managers and engineers with regular feedback and development opportunities.
• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of software projects on time and within budget.
• Lead cross-functional scope including frontend UI/UX and backend API teams.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to define requirements and priorities.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies, and maintain progress updates for stakeholders.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, and architectural reviews to improve delivery and quality.
• Drive improvements to the engineering delivery pipeline for speed, quality, and security.
