Ford Motor Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager within Ford Pro Intelligence to lead a team delivering scalable software solutions for commercial customers. You will guide technical direction, ensure high-quality delivery, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to define priorities and drive impact.

The role emphasizes leadership across multiple teams, UI/UX awareness, API design, cloud mastery, and enterprise-level software delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience with proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, Go).
• 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role managing people, leading teams, managing managers, and delivering software products to market
• 5+ years of experience leading teams that build customer-facing, browser-based applications, with a strong understanding of UI/UX and modern JS frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• 5+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• 3+ years of experience leading teams that design, build, and scale internal and external APIs, with service-oriented and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering managers and their teams delivering end-to-end software products.
• Oversee planning, execution, and on-time delivery within budget.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with product and design.
• Evaluate designs and architectures with a software focus.
• Recruit, hire, and develop talent; improve delivery pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of learning and security.
