Job summary

Orlando Health Physician Associates, part of the Orlando Health system, seeks a Senior Front Office Assistant to perform routine scheduling and administrative functions in an ambulatory medical office. The role operates under multiple managers and guides daily activities to support physicians and patients.

The position is located at 2920 Maguire Road, Ocoee, FL 34761, with hours Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Experience in a medical office and knowledge of ICD/CPT are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typing speed of approximately 30 wpm or ability to demonstrate competent use of practice management system.
• Knowledge of ICD & CPT coding.
• Two years’ experience in a medical office environment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres and assures compliance with Orlando Health and department specific policy, procedures, value statements and Commitment to Excellence standards.
• Handle multiple tasks, answer calls, take messages, file lab reports, medical records per policy.
• Perform word processing and spreadsheet data entry.
• Perform charge entry and cash handling.
• Act as liaison between physician, patient and insurance companies to obtain referrals and authorizations.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance per policies and standards.
• Participate in Quality Assurance activities as assigned.
• Demonstrate awareness of legal issues and patient rights, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized office.
• Assist office billing service as requested.
