Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Application to design, build, and support the BAS solution. Remote role supporting a Washington, DC based customer with required Public Trust clearance. Competitive salary range disclosed. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
2 years of software engineering experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
Strong understanding of JavaScript and its intricacies.
Knowledge of REST APIs; experience creating/consuming APIs; familiarity with XML and JSON.
Experience in object-oriented programming/design, web development, and debugging.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively; strong communication skills.
Public Trust and U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance.

Responsibilities

Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAP Analytics Cloud or other web technologies such as JavaScript.
Review requirements and interface designs.
Develop and implement interactive UI/UX components.
Monitor and improve front-end performance.
Document code changes and updates; provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
Optimize applications for scalability and speed; participate in code reviews.
