Job summary

SAIC's STG is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern web applications for the VA mission. You will work with UX, backend, data scientists, and AI/ML specialists to deliver accessible, AI-enhanced front-end experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration across cloud and backend services, secure and scalable solutions, and production-ready UI components. Remote work within the United States is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/SE (or equivalent) with 5 years of exp; Masters with 3 years acceptable.
Must be a U.S. Citizen; no dual citizenship.
Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ within 90 days of employment.
Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
Hands-on frontend development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Experience with React/Angular/Vue, Material UI, and Git/GitHub or GitLab.
Experience in cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
Experience integrating front-end apps with backend RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain front-end web applications with TypeScript/JavaScript and React/Angular/Vue.
Build responsive, accessible UIs for VA stakeholders.
Integrate front-end with backend REST services and APIs.
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to embed AI-driven insights in UI workflows.
Ensure secure, scalable front-end in a cloud environment (AWS/Azure).
Translate wireframes into production-ready UI components and screens.
Support front-end testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Maintain documentation for components, patterns, and API integration.
