Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer within our STG to design, develop, and maintain modern, accessible, user-centric web apps for VA. You will work with UX, backend, data science, and AI/ML teams to create AI-enabled front-end experiences that support high-stakes decision-making.

You’ll contribute to UI production, test and optimize performance, and document components and APIs. Remote work within the United States is possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Hands-on front-end development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React/Angular/Vue).
• Experience with UI component libraries (e.g., Material UI).
• Experience with version control (Git) using GitLab or GitHub.
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure) and RESTful API integration.
• Strong problem-solving in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, accessible front-end web apps.
• Collaborate with UX designers, backend engineers, and data scientists.
• Integrate front-end components with backend REST services and APIs.
• Incorporate AI-driven insights into UI and workflows.
• Support testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Maintain documentation for UI components and integration points.
