Long Finch Technologies in New York is seeking a senior front-end engineer to lead development of complex, user-facing web applications using React + TypeScript. You will own the front-end architecture and delivery approach, partnering with UX/Product to translate designs into polished experiences.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of software engineering, expert React, strong TS, and deep experience with modern tooling, testing, accessibility, and performance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience with depth in front-end web development.
• Expert-level React proficiency (hooks, composition, context, rendering behavior).
• Strong TypeScript skills (types-as-design, generics, strictness).
• Deep experience with modern front-end tooling (Vite/Webpack, Babel/SWC, npm/pnpm/yarn).
• Strong CSS skills: responsive design, theming, CSS Modules/JS/CSS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex, user-facing web apps using React + TypeScript; own the front-end architecture and delivery approach.
• Partner with UX/Product to translate designs into polished experiences; weigh feasibility, performance, and accessibility.
• Establish and evolve front-end standards: architecture, state management, routing, testing practices.
• Build using design system foundations; ensure theming, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Drive performance: Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, rendering strategies, caching, runtime observability.
• Implement advanced UI capabilities: rich data visualization, real-time updates, offline-friendly patterns.
• Ensure secure client-side patterns and collaborate with backend teams on API contracts (GraphQL/REST).
