Job summary

TechDigital Group in Jersey City seeks a senior Front-end Engineer to lead complex web applications built with React and TypeScript. You will own front-end architecture, drive performance, and collaborate closely with UX, Product, and Backend teams to deliver scalable experiences.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of software engineering with deep frontend expertise, strong React/TypeScript skills, and experience with modern tooling, testing, accessibility, and design systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering with deep front-end emphasis.
• Expert-level React, including hooks, context, and rendering optimization.
• Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript skills.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complex, user-facing web apps using React and TypeScript, owning front-end architecture and delivery.
• Collaborate with UX and Product to translate designs into high-quality experiences with performance and accessibility in mind.
• Establish and evolve front-end standards including architecture, state management, routing, and testing practices.
• Build using design systems and component libraries, theming, responsive layouts, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Drive performance through Core Web Vitals optimization, bundle optimization, SSR/CSR strategies, and caching.
• Implement advanced UI capabilities including data visualization, real-time updates, offline support, and complex forms/workflows.
• Ensure secure client-side development — auth flows, token handling, secure storage, and protection against common vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with backend teams on GraphQL/REST APIs, advocating for front-end friendly designs.
