Job summary

Underdog, a remote-first US sports tech company, seeks a Senior Manager of Fraud to own and grow our fraud program. Lead a team across detection, decisioning, and investigation, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data/Analytics to implement robust controls.

You will design rules and signals end-to-end, tune fraud platforms, and drive automation with AI. Strong leadership and data fluency are essential for cross-functional impact and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fraud, risk, payments risk, or similar
• Led and developed fraud professionals with measurable results
• Hands-on with fraud tooling such as Sift or Sardine
• Fluent in designing rules, controls, and decisioning strategies across the lifecycle
• Excellent data fluency—spot trends, test hypotheses, measure outcomes

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the fraud program, close detection/decision gaps
• Lead and develop a high-performing fraud team with clear priorities
• Design the decisioning strategy and build rules, signals, and logic
• Tune platforms to sharpen detection accuracy and reduce false positives
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to scope and ship new fraud capabilities
• Analyze data with Data/Analytics to validate controls and trends
• Push AI and automation to enhance fraud detection and mitigation
• Drive cross-team execution from discovery to implementation
