Job summary

Anduril Industries' Space Imaging team seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer to define space EO/IR payload architectures, build prototypes, perform ground testing, and mature designs into flight hardware. You will lead FPGA architecture, design and simulate VHDL/Verilog, and collaborate with electrical, software and systems engineers to ensure seamless hardware/software integration and robust validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years HDL firmware development for FPGA devices.
• Proficient in VHDL and Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL design.
• Experience with Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus.
• Strong hardware/software debugging skills with lab equipment.
• Proficient with Git version control.
• US Person status and ability to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA architecture, standards, development and review processes.
• Design, simulate, and integrate VHDL/Verilog for FPGAs/SoCs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate firmware with the system.
• Develop test benches in VHDL/Verilog and use lab tools for validation.
• Optimize algorithms for hardware acceleration and AXI/AXI-Stream.
