Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer for the Space Imaging team to drive FPGA architecture and RTL design for space EO/IR payloads. You will lead cross-disciplinary efforts from concept through prototypes and flight hardware, and mentor small engineering teams as needed.

The role requires deep HDL expertise, VHDL/Verilog, and hands-on FPGA tooling, with a strong emphasis on robust testing, system integration, and performance optimization. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is typically required.
• 8+ years of experience developing HDL firmware for FPGA devices.
• Expertise in VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL design.
• Experience with Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus FPGA tools.
• Strong debugging skills using lab equipment.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.
• U.S. Person status required to access export-controlled data.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA architecture, standards, development and review processes.
• Design, architect, simulate, and integrate VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog into FPGAs/SoCs for optimized performance.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate firmware with the overall system.
