CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineer in Austin, TX to own the FPGA development lifecycle for advanced embedded computing solutions. You will translate system and customer requirements into robust FPGA architectures and lead implementation, verification, and hardware validation with cross-functional hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years FPGA design and development experience.
• Experience interfacing FPGAs with RF converters using LVDS, JESD204B/C, or RFSoC.
• Hands-on with AMD/Xilinx Vivado and high-speed FPGA design.
• Strong VHDL and Verilog/SystemVerilog skills.
• Ownership of FPGA development lifecycle from architecture to verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA development lifecycle from architecture through validation.
• Translate system requirements into robust FPGA architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for reliable products.
• Review designs and establish sound engineering practices.
