Job summary

Charles Levick Limited is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer for a high-performance electronic trading setup in New York/London. You’ll design and deploy FPGA-based trading accelerators, optimize RTL pipelines, and build resilient testing infrastructure within a fast-paced team.

You will collaborate with developers and traders to integrate hardware with software APIs, addressing complex latency and timing challenges while owning critical FPGA applications over time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' commercial FPGA engineering experience.
• Strong VHDL and Python.
• Experience with high-speed design and protocols.
• Strong understanding of Linux environments.
• Good coding and hardware design practices.
• Experience working collaboratively within a technical team.
• Strong knowledge in networking, computer architecture or verification.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FPGA applications from the ground up.
• RTL design, synthesis, place & route and static timing analysis.
• Develop and maintain robust FPGA testing infrastructure.
• Work on software integration, APIs and hardware/software interfaces.
• Solve complex FPGA, hardware and software limitations.
• Work closely with developers and trading teams.
• Opportunity to take ownership of significant FPGA applications over time.
