Job summary

Belvedere Trading, a leading proprietary trading firm in downtown Chicago, seeks an FPGA Developer to advance high-performance, low-latency trading systems. You will drive FPGA-based solutions, collaborate across teams, and contribute to machine-level optimizations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The role emphasizes developing networks, exchange encoding/decoding, and hybrid hardware/software platforms, with a focus on improving speed and efficiency in market making.

Qualifications

• Development experience with FPGAs (Verilog/VHDL) and timing closure.
• Experience with C++, Bash, TCL, and Python scripts.
• Experience with FPGA design, simulation, and verification tools (Synopsys, Riviera, ModelSim, Questasim).
• Desire to push the boundaries on performance and lower latency.

Responsibilities

• Use cutting-edge technology while working on high performance/low latency systems.
• Collaborate with team members to investigate and create automated trading algorithms.
• Work on high-performance computing systems to break speed and performance boundaries.
• Build next-generation algorithmic trading systems.
• Solve low-latency trading problems and optimization of performance-critical code.
• Develop new hardware platforms.
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and experimenting with performance optimizations.
• Apply industry knowledge and technical skills in new and innovative ways
• Help to continuously improve team productivity, code quality, tool, and technology adoption
• Create new features and help improve existing experiences
