Job summary

Fidus Systems in Dallas is seeking an experienced FPGA Designer to define architectures, implement RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL), integrate IP, run simulations, and achieve timing closure on complex FPGA-based systems for diverse clients across video, communications, storage, and research projects.

You will work with customers and internal teams, design with Xilinx and Intel devices, participate in design reviews, perform lab bring-up and debugging, deliver tests and documentation, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience designing RTL/Verilog/VHDL on FPGAs.
• Experience with video systems, high-speed memories, and DSP/processor instantiations.
• Experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGA families and tool flows.
• Proficiency with Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, and ModelSim.
• RTL design and verification including test benches, simulations, and timing closure.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to interact with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex FPGA/CPLD based systems including architecture, custom IP, simulations, and timing analysis.
• Design FPGA systems using Xilinx and Intel devices and tools.
• Participate in hardware/software interface reviews to ensure quality and requirements.
• Perform lab testing, debug prototypes, and support hardware/software engineers.
• Prepare customer demos, test plans, and design documentation.
• Provide technical input to pre-sales and project proposals; assist in scope and schedule estimates.
