Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer to join a hardware team building advanced satellite communications. You will design RTL for AMD/Xilinx Versal and UltraScale+ FPGAs, integrate high-speed transceivers, and validate 25G/100G links on space-grade hardware.

You will work in Bothell, WA with embedded Linux environments (PetaLinux/Yocto), bring-up boards via JTAG/ILA, and collaborate with hardware engineers on system validation and test instrumentation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years FPGA/RTL development using Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL.
• Hands-on experience with GTY/GTM or high-speed serial transceivers.
• Proven board bring-up and hardware debugging experience.
• Experience achieving timing closure on modern FPGA devices.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

Responsibilities

• Design, verify RTL for Versal and UltraScale+ FPGAs.
• Configure GTY/GTM transceivers and debug 25G+ links.
• Implement high-speed Ethernet (25G/50G/100G) solutions.
• Develop embedded Linux environments (PetaLinux/Yocto).
• Bring-up FPGA boards using JTAG and ILA.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on validation and debugging.
• Create diagnostic tools for test and verification.
