Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior FPGA Design Engineer in the US to develop FPGA designs across major vendors using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog. You will work with circuit card designers and systems engineers on requirements, architecture, simulation, and integration, delivering production-grade FPGA releases.

You will verify designs with directed and constrained random tests, drive projects on time and budget, and mentor junior engineers while contributing to documentation and reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with at least 5 years of relevant FPGA design experience.
• Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog coding.
• Experience with SystemVerilog coding.
• Experience with Xilinx or Microsemi devices and flow tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases from proof of concept to production.
• Architect FPGA-based systems to determine parts, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Translate system-level requirements into FPGA requirements.
• Design and code in VHDL for reliability and maintainability.
• Verify designs with directed tests and constrained random tests; track coverage.
• Help drive projects and meet schedules and budgets.
• Create complete documentation including requirements and verification plans.
• Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
